[B]Tanapag center painting today[/B]

The Inetnon Amot yan Kutturan Natibu/Mwiischil Safey me Kkoor Aramasal Faluw, in partnership with the Office of the Mayor of Saipan and the Tanapag Parish Council, is looking for volunteers to help complete the painting of the Tanapag Community Center (across the Tanapag Church) today, May 26, 2012, from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Paints and brushes will be provided but you may bring your own paint brush. Lunch will also be provided. For more information, call 322-0278. (PR)

[B]Aquaculture execs on Marianas Agupa[/B]

Today, May 26, 2012, Marianas Agupa will feature Michael M. Ogo from CREES and board members of the CNMI Aquaculture Producers Association to talk about the Aquaculture Workforce Development Program between 10am and 10:30am. The show is from 9am to 11am on Magic 100.3 FM. Listeners on Saipan, Tinian and Rota and those listening via streaming are encouraged to call in and ask questions during the show (direct to studio at 234-5929 or via instant messaging on Marianas Agupa Facebook account). [B]Japanese group sets cleanup today[/B]

A Japanese group called Nenpou Shinkyou will be doing a cleanup around Banzai Cliff and Last Command Post today, May 26, 2012, at 10am. About 70 members of the group will take part in the cleanup. They are inviting members of the CNMI community to take part in the cleanup with them. The group will also hold a peace memorial ceremony the following day, 10am, at Marpi. (PR)

[B]Red Cross annual meeting[/B]

The NMI Chapter of the American Red Cross is having their annual meeting on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the Chapter office on Airport Road. All volunteers, donors, and others interested in the Red Cross are welcome to attend. The purpose of the meeting is to hold elections of the voting members of its board of directors, review reports by Chapter directors, and transact other business as it may come before the meeting. [B]DEQ sets COP beach cleanup next Saturday[/B]

The Division of Environmental Quality’s cleanup brigade will be picking up trash at Coral Ocean Point Beach on Saipan on June 2, 2012, at 8am. If you would like to volunteer, meet the DEQ representatives on Saturday at the beach entrance parking lot. Volunteers will split into groups and clean until 10am and break for drinks and then continue, if needed. For more information about volunteering, contact the DEQ office at 664-8500/1. (DEQ)

[B]NMC School of Education Open House next Friday[/B]

The Northern Marianas College School of Education is hosting an Open House for those who are considering teaching as a profession. Participants of the Open House can learn about new scholarship opportunities like the TEACH Grant Program, the four different academic concentrations available at the School of Education, and other program features.
