A man was slapped with a 93-day prison term for cursing and yelling at his wife and for breaking several household items.

In an order Thursday, Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth L. Govendo sentenced Prisco Ongrung to six months in prison, all suspended except for 93 days, with credit for the 93 days he has already served in jail. This means he will no longer serve further prison time.

The 39-year-old Ongrung was placed on probation for one year and prohibited from having any contact with his wife. He was also required to complete anger management counseling and submit to alcohol and drug assessment treatment, if recommended.

Ongrung is also barred from alcoholic beverages and from going into bars. He was ordered to pay a $200 court costs and probation fees and to perform 50 hours of community service.

Ongrung pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace as part of a plea deal. He disturbed the peace of his wife on Feb. 5, 2012, yelling, cursing, and breaking household items.

In July 2011, Ongrung was arrested after he allegedly beat up a friend and repeatedly hit him with a baton in Dandan over a dispute about methamphetamine or “ice.”
