MPU-2 still perfect in U15; Wild Bill’s absorbs 1st loss

MPU-2 Silver remained unscathed in Northern Mariana Islands Football Association’s 2012 Boys U15 Spring Youth League.

Silver notched its eighth win in eighth matches after thoroughly dominating Paire Football Club, 13-0, last May 5 at the Oleai Sports Complex field.

Brian Lee found the back of the net four times in the win, while teammates Jehn Joyner and John Raymond Taiscan completed hat tricks for the U15 powerhouse.

Also scoring for Silver were Daniel Lim, Ryota Ito, and Dakota Hall. The loss dropped Paire FC’s record to a 5-2-1 win-loss-draw card.

In other recent boys U15 results, Tan Holdings FC skunked Matansa FC, 7-0; Matansa beat Tan Holdings, 7-2: Paire FC nipped MPU-1 Blue, 2-1; and Shirley’s FC defeated MPU-1 Blue, 3-1.

[B]MEN’S DIVISION[/B]

Over in the 2012 Men’s Spring League, Wild Bill’s finally tasted the bitter taste of defeat after Korean Football Association of Saipan edged the erstwhile undefeated team, 3-2, last May 6 at the Oleai Sports Complex field.

Sung Ho Kang scored the game’s first goal in the 21st minute to give previously winless KFAS a 1-0 lead. Chong Koo Gil would put Wild Bill’s in a 0-2 hole after he connected in the 60th minute.

But just when everyone was counting Wild Bill’s out, Adul Detdon and Robert Jordan equalized the game at 2-2 with goals in the 66th and 86th minute, respectively.

KFAS will not be denied though, as Jeong Jin Jeon gave them the lead with a score three minutes later that sealed the deal.

Other men’s results saw Matansa FC beat Sky, 2-1, in inter-group play and Inter FC thrashing Paire FC, 4-0.

[B]U15 GIRLS[/B]

Draws were the theme of the most recent games in the 2012 U15 Spring Youth League as Matansa FC and Shirley’s FC finished their game with a 1-1 draw, while Tan Holdings FC and Paire FC both went scoreless in their match. Both games were played at the Hopwood Junior High School Field.

Diana Manacop drew first blood for Matansa FC in the 26th minute, but Jezreelyn Bulaklak tied it up with her own goal in the 34th minute.

Shirley’s FC leads the standings with a 5-0-2 win-loss-draw card followed by MPU (3-0-4), Matansa FC (2-2-3), Paire FC (1-4-2), and Tan Holdings FC (1-6-2).

[B]WOMEN’S DIVISION[/B]

In the 2012 Women’s 11 Aside, Shirley’s improved its win-loss-draw mark to 6-0-1 after it bamboozled Tan Holdings FC, 13-0, last May 5 at the Hopwood pitch.

Marielle Gariguez rocketed the ball past Tan Holdings FC goalies a grand total of five times to lead Shirley’s to the dominating win.

Also scoring for Shirley’s FC were Alexandria Vergara (twice), Marilou Gariguez, Lalaine Pagarao, Mikky Vargas, Mae Ito, and Liezel Tiples. The loss was the sixth in seven games for Tan Holdings, which only other game ended in a draw.

Paire FC, meanwhile, won over Matansa FC, 3-0. Matansa bounced right back with a 2-1 win over Inter FC.
