Power outages in As Perdido, Kagman on Sat.

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has scheduled two three-hour power interruptions this Saturday, May 12, 2012, so its men could do repair work in As Perdido and Kagman.
The power outage in Kagman will be from 5:30am to 8:30am and will affect Kagman Road (Joeten Kagman, Santa Soledad Church, Juvenile Center, Laolao Bay Golf Course and Resort, Kagman Fire Station, Kagman Elementary School, Kagman High School, Chacha Ocean View Junior High School, and Kagman 1,2,3,4).
The purpose of this interruption is to de-energize the primary lines so that CUC line crew may work safely as they replace a defective parallel switch in the As Perdido area near William S. Reyes Elementary School. This switch will provide the linemen the ability to isolate problematic areas on the Kiya I and Kiya II electrical circuits. It will also enable workers to parallel the two Kiya circuits, minimizing the number of customers inconvenienced during future repairs or maintenance on the electrical grid. In addition, other line crew will be clearing vegetations from the de-energized primary lines.
The second power outage will be from 2pm to 5pm and will affect areas along As Perdido Road, including Pegge Pl., Aplok Dr., Bayak Dr, Faha Pl., Afula Ln., Maguro Dr., Nufo Pl., Teodoro Dr., Ramona Ln., Niyok Dr., Henaro Pl., and Iriko Ln.
This outage will allow CUC line crew to replace rusted and deteriorated power pole hardware in the Kagman 2 homestead area. CUC plans to continue its ongoing systems maintenance in the Kagman area to secure the electrical system, so future power outages will be scheduled.
