The TV programs Finu Chamorro and Teen Talk have changed channels and are now on Channel 14 (MCV: The Weather Channel). Finu Chamorro airs Fridays and Saturdays, 6:30pm-7pm, immediately followed by Teen Talk from 7pm to 7:30pm. The new schedule is effective this Friday, May 4, 2012. [B][I](PR)[/I]
Upcoming health and safety trainings

The American Red Cross-NMI Chapter will be conducting the following health and safety training at its training room located on Airport Road:
* First Aid: Wednesday, May 9, and Thursday, May 24, 6pm-9pm
* Adult CPR/AED: Thursday, May 10, and Wednesday, May 23, 6pm-9pm
Pre-registration is required at least 24-hours prior to training date. A $70 course-fee is required to participate in these trainings. Two-year certification cards are issued at end of training. This is to inform the general public that the Saipan and Northern Islands Soil and Water Conservation District will be conducting their monthly meeting on Monday, may 14, 2012, at 10am at the Natural Resources Conservation Service office on Beach Road Garapan. Chamber meeting today[/B]
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will host its May general membership meeting today, May 2, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency Saipan Sandcastle Ballroom. Luncheon begins at 11:30am, and the meeting will begin at 12pm. Luncheon fees are $20 for SCC members, $30 for guests and the public.
This month’s agenda includes a presentation by the Citizens for Change of Article 12 and their efforts to place an initiative to either repeal, or retain, Article 12 of the CNMI Constitution on this November’s ballot.
A short presentation by the CNMI Water Task Force’s Kay Delafield will be offered as well. [B][I](SCC)[/I]
Memorial Day preparations[/B]
The CNMI is celebrating Memorial Day on Monday, May 28, 2012, 9am at the CNMI Veterans Cemetery. The Veterans Affairs Director and its Committee will be paying tribute to our fallen heroes and is inviting the immediate families to join the community in paying tribute to them. Air Force, Navy training on FDM, Warning Area 517[/B]
The U.S. Air Force will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla on the following dates and times:
* May 2-3 from 8am to 5am
* May 4 from 9am to 7pm.
The Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on May 2-3 from 8am to 5pm.
The public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators—are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.
W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising of 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank. [B][I](PR)[/I][/B]
