The Northern Marianas College, along with Power 99 and Microl Toyota, is inviting community members to sign up to participate in the CNMI’s first ever Hilux Truck Show. In an effort to encourage more Hilux owners to join the competition, the event’s planning committee has decided to waive the $20 fee.

Microl Toyota also announced that they will be donating iPads, as well as other prizes, to the winning trucks.

“NMC has had car shows before but this is the first time we’re hosting a Hilux Truck Show,” said L.J. Castro, program coordinator for the Office of Student Leadership and Activities. “We’re inviting owners of Saipan’s hottest low riders to come out and join in the fun.”

Those interested in participating in the Hilux Truck Show must register before NMC Charter Day on May 4, 2012. Again, the $20 registration fee has been waived. Showtime is between 5pm and 9pm.

Applications forms are available for download at www.nmcnet.edu, or can be picked up at the NMC Student Center in Building J. For more information, contact Castro at 234-5498 Ext. 1251/1253 or email luisjohnc@nmcnet.edu.

The NMC 2012 Charter Day Committee will be giving out the Best in Show Award to competitors at the end of the competition. The sponsors for this event are Microl Toyota and Power 99.

NMC Charter Day is an annual celebration that commemorates the establishment of the college in 1981. It is one of the largest celebrations in the CNMI. This year’s event will take place on May 4, 2012, from 4pm to 10pm at NMC As Terlaje campus.
