Federal agents arrested yesterday a man who was allegedly in possession of a cellular phone that contained several images of children that included one image of the genitals of a boy.

Rogelio N. Dela Cruz, 41, was arrested on charges of sexual exploitation of children and activities relating to material constituting or containing child exploitation.

Federal Bureau of Investigation special agent Haejun Park stated in his affidavit that, on March 18, 2011, Dela Cruz was arrested on Rota by the Department of Public Safety for various charges related to possible sexual assault of a girl in Sinapalo.

The officer observed that Dela Cruz’s cellphone contained several images of young children and an image of the genitals of a young boy.

When the officer asked about the image, Dela Cruz explained that he and the boy were just playing around.

Dela Cruz allegedly admitted he took the nude photo of the boy one year ago and that he forgot to erase it.

Park said, that on Friday the FBI obtained a federal search warrant to search Dela Cruz’s cellphone.

Park said that several images of young children were found to include the image of the genitals of a boy.

Park said the parents identified on Monday the child on the photo as their minor child.
