Drug Enforcement Task Force agents arrested Thursday an alleged supplier of methamphetamine or “ice” on Saipan.

Han Ju Yang, a 41-year-old Chinese national also known as Sister, was taken to the Superior Court yesterday for her initial court hearing.

Associate Judge David A. Wiseman imposed a $30,000 cash bail for Yang’s temporary release.

Task Force detective Patrick P. Sablan stated in his report that two detectives interviewed Wednesday a “cooperating defendant” who revealed that his/her “ice” supplier is Sister.

Sablan said the “cooperating defendant” claimed that Sister, later identified as Yang, would deal “ice” out of her apartment along Martinez Road in As Lito.

That same day, Task Force members conducted a buy-walk operation using the “confidential defendant.” Sablan said the “cooperating defendant” managed to buy $100 worth of “ice” from Yang at her apartment.

Sablan said after 45 minutes from the operation, the Task Force members, using the same “cooperating defendant” managed to buy $60 more worth of “ice” from Yang at the same apartment.

On Thursday, Task Force members arrested Yang and executed a search warrant at her apartment.
