Trench Tech fighters, officials visit Tinian
A group of Trench Tech Purebred officials and fighters vicited Tinian last weekend and participated in a number of community service projects to promote goodwill and healthy lifestyle on the island.
Trench Tech’s front man Cuki Alvarez brought over Mixed Martial Arts students Mylo Lassiter, Jasper Van Der Mass, Kevin Park, Michael Park and Shane Alvarez, along with team Zeng Zung’s Joshua Q. Castro of Tinian, to speak to a group of 238 Tinian High School students ranging from grades 7 to 12 at the THS cafeteria last Friday and promote the deterrence of bullying, fighting, and violence in schools. Castro graduated from THS in 2000.
Then last Saturday, the entourage met with THS’ JROTC members and some other volunteers for a Trash-A-Thon clean up held at Tinian’s San Jose Church.
Trench Tech female members Shaniah Alvarez, Amy Taylor, and Mari Palacios joined the group to help out in the Saturday’s events. The group cleaned both the inside and outside of the church and then hosted a free “boxercise” clinic for about 50 participants at the Tinian Gymnasium later that afternoon.
Over 30 spectators showed up to observe the Boxercise session. With the big turnout of the Saturday’s session, Trench Tech crew conducted a second one last Sunday before their departure.
Meanwhile, Trench Tech thanked Zeng Zung’s Castro for helping coordinate the series of events, THS principal Julian Hofschneider, Tinian Gym Director Lydia Barcinas, THS vice principal Eric San Nicolas, JC Café’ Selena Farrell, Lori Lynn’s Hotel, Senator Jude Hofscneider, Star Marianas, and Donna Christian for helping the group with its hotel accommodations.
