The better choice

Share

The casino construction hasn’t even begun and already there is a problem. I still think that two casino would be better. And since they voted for one, why did they choose Best Sunshine over Star Marianas? Why are they investigating their background only? Why didn’t they ask them for their plan and question the outcome of it? Shouldn’t you ask what they planning to do and how we are going to benefit from it?

Why not Star Marianas, who is operating a casino already, has experience in building a casino, and already has the manpower? The criminal or illegal issue is fixable and it was not major issue. Your consultant is the issue. Wonder if they know what they are talking about? I mean, why didn’t they ask about their plans and question what is the outcome? Why no research to educate us more about a successful casinos industry? What plan did they use that was successful and how did they make it successful?

Knowing their plans ahead can help us determine if the outcome is good or bad. So, now that you know, prepare and report your answers to those anti-casino supporters. Yes, we appreciate your concern in paying us the refunds and the interest as soon as possible, but our future outcome is more important, because it will affect us all and if we don’t plan ahead, we might crash.

This choice shows that those commissioners are biased against the casino development on Tinian. This also indicates greed for power. Wrong choice. Don’t you know that working as team build a stronger power? Either those consultants are ripping us off, or our commissioners are playing games again like little kids.

My father was a brilliant economist. All his predictions were accurate. He told me that business becomes successful if one builds a strong team—a team that can be trusted, loyal, and dependable. That means no secrets among them. We as one CNMI should work as a team. If we do this, business would follow.

Right now, I see Best Sunshine could use Marianas Star’s help. Recommending these two company to work together might build a better future for us. Also, all those addictions and drugs issues will be fixable if you ask for help from these two company to provide a preventive program funding and trainings to our community. The only problem is this biased unprofessional behavior that scares investors away. Behaving in such a manner is like advertising your childish behavior and unreliable leadership.

Let me ask this now, what plan do you guys have to help Tinian? I mean the Tinian casino is generating revenue, yet if we create challenges, one might close and sue our government. So please grow up and behave like professionals. Show us that we can rely on your leadership. Please think about this before it’s too late again.
