Jacqueline recently arrived on Saipan and is already immersing herself in her tasks ahead. Getting to know the lay-of-the-land and initiating contact with Saipan’s local media professionals is just the beginning of what awaits her.
She brings a wealth of 18 years in communications and marketing experience to Saipan, having served in several multinational corporations, including eight years at Sands China, a wholly owned subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands Corp.
During the months ahead, the people of Saipan will get to know Jacqueline a lot better. She aims to take the forefront in organizing a number of community activities in conjunction with existing community groups and business associations.
“BSI strives to be a great corporate citizen and I look forward to delving deep into the community and assess where an organization like BSI can make a lasting contribution,” Jacqueline notes. “Although far away from my home of Canada, I already sense the warmth of the local people [on] Saipan and I look forward to making your beautiful island my home for many years to come!”
Her portfolio of responsibilities also includes Destination and Trade Marketing—essential skills required to attract an ever-growing number of international travelers to Saipan.
“I am honored to be part of the BSI family and to join the community of Saipan. Our project is going to wow many people in the industry and will attract so much attention in the next few years! Saipan will absolutely become a destination that people will add to their top 10 ‘must-visit’ list. … And most important of all, this is a great place to live, work and have fun,” said Jacqueline.
Her team kicks off with a series of visits to the local community and media. One of the key agenda items in November is the planning and execution of a BSI-driven program, called “Best Sunshine’s Beautification Campaign.” The purpose of the campaign is to draw attention to the ecological maintenance of Saipan’s top tourism venues.
“We warmly welcome local volunteers to participate in our November activities. An hourly contribution of $7.50 will be paid to all legitimate and enthusiastic volunteers,” she adds.
