The MyWave Club of Garapan Elementary School, a 15-strong group of sixth graders led by coordinator Evelyn Alarcon, teamed up with the company in the cleanup. Fortifying the group were four members of the grappling team Team Roninz led by Joe Attao.

The cleanup attests to the willingness of the youth of Saipan to take an active part in projects and activities with Best Sunshine that involve beautifying the island and alleviating the extensive damage caused by Typhoon Soudelor.

For its part, Best Sunshine continues to demonstrate its sincere commitment in supporting the causes of the Saipan community. The beach cleanup and employee assistance in cleanup and debris removal of their typhoon-ravaged homes are part of the weekly activities planned out by BSI’s management and its CSR arm in building up a solid volunteer support system.

Browne said, “On behalf of Best Sunshine, I would like to thank Evelyn Alarcon and the students of the My Wave Club, Joe Attao and Team Roninz, and the Best Sunshine employees who assisted in the beach cleanup. We are committed to helping the Saipan community in any way we can. In the course of any attempt to do so, there will always be difficulties, big and small. A little rain won’t stop us. Tackling difficulties as challenges instead of impassable barriers is what we aim to do.” (Press Release)
