Bennett to headline film premiere
Yvonne M. Bennett, a former celebrated athlete in the CNMI, will be on-island for the premiere of the movie Love Kennedy, where she has a supporting role.
The movie will be screened at the Regal Theater on Nov. 26, with scheduled showings at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, and, according to a press release, possibly at 5pm.
Tickets cost $10 and the first three viewings have already been pledged for purchase, according to the release issued by Bennett’s father, Ambrose Bennett.
He said, “We are now working on the last viewing for 5pm. This is an on-demand event and if you have not made your pledge to get a ticket by Sept. 30, you will be on stand-by for your seat in the last viewing.”
To purchase a ticket, contact Ambrose or Lillian Bennett at 256-6602 or 286-2727 or email ambrosebennett@yahoo.com or any of the sponsors on Facebook.
Yvonne M. Bennett was named Female Athlete of the Year in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 and the winner of five gold medals and a silver medal at the Palau Micronesian Games. She is currently with Abercrombie & Fitch.
Love Kennedy is a true story about the life of Kennedy Hansen, who was later diagnosed with juvenile Batten disease.
