Benavente is SGA October ace

Tony Benavente topped the Saipan Golf Association Ace of the Month Tournament for October held last Oct. 23 at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort east course.
Benavente fired a net 67 following a gross of 73 built around a 38 in the front and a 35 in the back.
Rick Kautz took second place with his net 68. He shot a 39-40 for a gross of 79.
Third place was a tie between Joe Sablan and Frances Sablan after both wound up with identical net scores of 75. The former had a 90 gross (50-48), while the latter shot a 103 gross (51-52).
In the closest to the pin contest, Attorney General Edward Manibusan mastered holes No. 4 and 6, while Kautz won hole No. 11. Alex Tudela was without peer in hole No. 15.
In the longest drive competition, Nick Sablan brought out the lumber in hole No. 3 and ditto for Tony Benavente in hole No. 18.
Benavente now joins Edward C. Sablan (January), Frances M. Sablan (February), Nick C. Sablan (March), Larry I. Deleon Guerrero (April), Alex Tudela (May), Mariano Fajardo (June), Rick Kautz (July), Das Krishnan (August) and Edward Manibusan (September) in the 2022 SGA Ace of the Month Tournament.
The SGA 2022 November Ace of the Month Tournament is scheduled for this Sunday, Dec. 18, at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort’s west course. Tee time is at 9 am, with the show time at 8:30am. The December Ace is proposed for January 2023 along with the Ace of Aces 2022 and January Ace 2023.
