Beijing TV airs Saipan Marathon
Beijing Sports Channel has aired a feature on the latest Saipan Marathon and the visitor attractions of the Northern Marianas.

Beijing TV sent two editors and two photographers to Saipan to cover the April 2015 sports event, which attracted approximately 500 runners from China and seven other countries. Show host Yao Feng also ran in and filmed a short segment of the race.
“He related to us that he had fun and it was a great experience to run in the fresh air along the beautiful beach with all the flame trees blooming,” said Marianas Visitors Authority marketing manager Bruce Bateman. “He also said he observed that people at the aid stations were very warm and friendly, and they really cheered the runners up. He appreciated the high spirits of the students and little kids running the 10K to challenge themselves and said he would like to return and participate in 2016 Saipan Marathon.”
BTV also interviewed several race participants. The media FAM(iliarization) group also filmed a UTV tour of Mt. Tapochao, Managaha, snorkeling, parasailing, Kanoa Resort beach barbecue, Sea Touch marine animal encounter, trolling, and car rental. The group lodged at Kanoa Resort during their tour.
So far this fiscal year 103,000 visitors from China have arrived in the Northern Marianas, a 29-percent increase compared to the same period last fiscal year. The MVA operates representative offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. (MVA)
