The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality’s Cleanup Brigade will be picking up trash at Laly 4 Beach on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at 8 am.

If you would like to volunteer, meet the BECQ representatives on Saturday at the Laly 4 Children’s Park area/parking lot at 8am. Volunteers will split into groups and clean until 10am and break for drinks and then continue, if needed.

This month, outstanding brigade volunteers who participated in at least 10 cleanups will receive a brigade cap and those who participated in at least three will receive a brigade t-shirt.

The Sugar Dock cleanup was successful with 43 volunteers participating. Thanks to volunteers from the U.S. Coast Guard, Saipan Southern High School/YEA Club//My WAVE Club, Kagman High School, and other volunteers, over 500 lbs of trash was removed from the area and properly disposed of.

For more information about volunteering, contact the BECQ office at 664-8500/1. (BECQ)
