Ol’Aces 9, Enforcers 8

Ol’Aces drew first blood with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning off a sacrifice fly by Jessie Brel and an error.

Enforcers’ Celeb Takao answered with an RBI double and scored off a passed ball in the top half of the second and teams traded a run in the third frame to lock it at 3-3. The Enforcers scored off an error and Ol’Aces via an RBI single by Payton Lizama.

The Enforcers then took advantage of an outfield error for two runs to start the fourth inning, but Ol’Aces got them back in the bottom frame with an RBI base rip by Michael Muna. He later stole home.

The Enforcers went after Ol’Aces relief pitcher Kenji Yamagata at the start of the fifth inning and mustered two runs off a pair of RBI base hits by Truman Shiro and Franklin Lizama.

Ol’Aces, however, gashed the Enforcers once starter Darrion Jones left the mound and tallied four runs in the bottom frame off four hits to seize control, 9-7.

Terson Eina’s two-out RBI single started the uprising. Ol’Aces’ leadoff man Verlance Secharmidal brought him home with a triple and later scored off an error. Yamagata also bagged an RBI base knock.

Ol’Aces held the Enforcers to just one run in six innings and held strong in the final stand.

Winning pitcher Muna gave up an earned run off three hits and five walks with five strikeouts in four innings. He batted 2-for-2 with an RBI, three runs, two base on balls, and two stolen bases.

Ol’Aces’ Brel swung 1-for-2 with a sacrifice RBI, two runs, and a base on balls.

Hunters 3, Jets II 0

Hunters pitcher Steven Cabrera pitched two-hit a gem with just two walks and three strikeouts in seven scoreless innings.

His teammates backed him up out on the field with 11 putouts and three ground outs.

At the plate, the Hunters broke the ice in the opening frame from an RBI single by Alex Monkeya and managed another run later in the fourth inning when batsman Jonathan Cabrera came home off a wild pitch.

Then in the top of the fifth inning, Hunters’ Joe Borja jacked a two-out inside-the-park home run.

Lions 15, Enforcers 4

Lions leaped ahead, 5-0, in the opening frame off two hits, two walks. and some untimely errors.

Brel Yobech and Paul Celis bagged RBIs and Austin Agulto an RBI single.

The count shifted to 6-2 after the second inning as an RBI base rip by Lions pitcher Davie Matagolai was overshadowed by a pair of wild pitches committed by the aforementioned in the bottom frame.

Aside from the slipup to start the second inning, Matagolai recovered nicely and held the Enforcers to two additional runs, while his teammates lit up the scoreboard for the mercy victory.

The Lions surged forward 12-3 after four rounds with five runs off four hits in the fourth inning. Celis cranked an RBI triple, Catalina Dela Cruz an RBI single, and Cedric Ada notched an RBI.

The Lions smelled blood in the fifth and mustered three more runs off three hits and some aggressive base running that put the run-rule scenario into effect and held strong in the bottom frame.

Winning pitcher Matagolai gave up two earned runs off five hits, three walks, and a bean ball with 10 strikeouts.

Lions’ Justin Santos batted 4-for-5 with two runs; Celis swung 3-for-4 with three RBIs, three runs, and three stolen bases.
Ol’Aces 17, D-9ers 1

Ol’Aces broke open the game in the top of the third inning with 11 runs off five hits. Their patience at the plate plaid off and received a handful of free passes that were complemented even more by some extra throws out in the field.

Ol’Aces’ Lancaster and T.J. Sablan each hammered two RBI base hits, leadoff man Frankie Camacho scored twice and bagged an two-RBI triple, while the other runs came from a couple of wild pitches, a passed ball and errors.

The D-9ers could not stir an answer as Ol’Aces’ Jonah Flores was lights out on the mound.

After the very first batter he faced reached on a hit and scored off an error, he only allowed three more hits in the next four innings for an efficient workload.

Flores also gave up just one walk and sat down eight.

Ol’Aces peppered two more runs in the fourth and fifth frames before receiving the early decision.

Ol’Aces’ Secharmidal batted 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs. Camacho swung 3-for-3 with two RBIs, two runs, and a base on balls. D-9ers’ Brandon Dela Cruz went 2-for-2 with a run.
