A member of the Plano Rotary Club from Texas is visiting Saipan for the second time.

Rick Horne, program manager for the ITSI Gilbane Company, arrived on island on official business last Thursday.

Horne presented the Plano Rotary Club flag to Saipan Rotary Club president Pete Igitol during a general membership meeting at Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Giovanni’s Restaurant yesterday.

Horne said Plano Rotary Club has a diverse membership of over a hundred individuals, mostly business leaders and politicians, from the city located in the northern part of Texas.

He said the Plano Rotary Club believes in and fulfills the Rotary International mission—to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders—by endorsing non-profit organizations within their community.

“We give a lot of our heart, time, and resources to make sure that these non-profits continue to serve the interest of the public,” added Horne.

Horne is scheduled to fly back to Texas on Sunday.
