Yamagishi is Amigo Golf Club’s February Ace

Doll Yamagishi’s consistency earned her the Amigo Golf Club’s February Ace after the conclusion of the group’s monthly events at the Kingfisher Golf Links.

Yamagishi posted a low gross score of 85 that worked into a 61 net tally during the club’s February qualifying round held back on Feb. 12.

She then scratched a raw 88 in the Ace of the Month event held last Feb. 26 that resulted in a 64 net card, which left her with a combined net total of 125.

Sheralyn Jones finished second place after the dual event.

Jones settled for an 86 (70-net) gross tally in the qualifier round and finished the month with a raw 83 (63-net) and finished 12-strokes behind Yamagishi with a total net count of 137.

Felix Sasamoto and Diding Hocog finished tied for third place overall with identical net totals of 139.

A total of 14 members showed up for February’s qualifying round, where John Matsumoto took second chair with a 79 gross score that adjusted to a 62 net count, while Joe Saban Jr. finished tied for third place with Sasamoto after the qualifier.

Sablan Jr. carded an 83 gross figure to Sasamoto’s 85, however they ended up tied after the handicap adjustment with 66 net totals.

Then in the Ace of the Month affair, Sasamoto gross-carded a 92 that adjusted to a 73 that left him with an over net score of 139.

Hocog qualified with a raw 92 that worked out into a net figure of 68 that went with her 95 gross count in the second event that was modified into a 71 for an overall net result of 139.

Ten golfers turned out for February’s Ace of the Month round.

Other results include Sablan Jr., finishing tied with Ben Jones with 147 net totals; Terry Guerrero finished with an overall net count of 149, and Lorraine Babauta finished both events with a combined net count of 153.

Amigo Golf Club’s March qualifier is slated for this Sunday, March 11, at the Kingfisher Golf Links. The Ace of the Month event is scheduled for Sunday, March 25.
