[B]Power outage in Koblerville, Katmelo, As Gonno[/B]

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the general public that there will be a power outage this Saturday, March 10, 2012, from 8:30am to 11:30am.

Areas affected will include the Koblerville Mobil gas station to Hanam Market, Koblerville Housing and Turn Key Housing, As Gonno Rd. to Katmelo area, and As Gonno area.

The purpose of the outage is to allow the power distribution crew to replace rusted cross-arm bolts, install a transformer and perform line clearing in Katmelo area.

Because of the scale of the work that will be performed, travelers are asked to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas. (CUC)

[B]Kagman High School notices[/B]

Kagman High School’s progress reports were sent home yesterday, Thursday, with students. Parents are reminded to ask their child for his or her report.

[B]Diabetes Coalition execs on Marianas Agupa![/B]

This Saturday, March 10, 2012, Marianas Agupa will feature Community Health Conversation Planning Committee chair Malua T. Peter and CNMI Diabetes Coalition committee chair Vinycia T. Seman to talk about the village campaign and outreach program and ways to have healthy lifestyles. The two will be featured from 10am to 10:30am. The show starts at 9am and ends at 11am on Magic 100.3 FM.

The Chamorro radio talk show program is hosted by Glenn H. Manglona and features reports by former mayor Joseph S. Inos, Thomas D. Mendiola from Rota, a special segment called Hafa Mohon with Juanita Mendiola, and a report from Tinian by David M. Cing. Simultaneous Internet streaming via www.magic100radio.com will be available. [B]Air Force, Navy training on Farallon de Medinilla[/B]

SANTA RITA, Guam—The U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla on March 12-16 from 7am to 10:45pm. The general public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators, are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.

The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants. (USN)

[B]General farmers meeting [/B]

This is to inform all farmers that the Department of Lands and Natural Resources will be hosting a general farmers meeting for election of new administrators for the Saipan and Northern Islands Soil and Water Conservation District. The term of office for the new administrators is from fiscal year 2012 to 2015. The meeting will be held at the Kagman Division of Agriculture station on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, from 10am to 11:30am.
