The 2012 Marianas March Against Cancer committee will be holding a team meeting on Thursday, March 8, 5:30pm, at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Chamolinian Room. All team captains or their representatives are encouraged to attend this important meeting.
The 2012 MMAC teams are 302nd FRG, Ahu, Aschoscho, Bodig, #FREEDAVE, IT&E/Saipan Southern High School, Joeten/Marianas High School, Marriage Encounter, Pacific Islands Club, Saipan Health Clinic/St. Jude Renal Care Facility, Take Care/Grace Christian Academy and Tan Holdings/Kagman High School. Air Force training on Farallon de Medinilla[/B]
The U.S. Air Force is currently conducting training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla until March 9, from 7am to 5pm. The general public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators—are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated. The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants. [B][I](PR)[/I]
General farmers meeting [/B]
This is to inform all farmers that the Department of Lands and Natural Resources will be hosting a general farmers meeting for election of new administrators for the Saipan and Northern Islands Soil and Water Conservation District. The term of office for the new administrators is from fiscal year 2012 to 2015. The meeting will be held at the Kagman Division of Agriculture station on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, from 10am to 11:30am. KHS progress reports out today[/B]
To all parents/guardians of Kagman High School: Progress reports will be issued today, March 7, 2012, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Teachers will distribute for all subjects. Please ask your child for their 1st – 4th period teachers’ and classroom numbers. This will lessen your time on where to go when you are getting their progress report. UOG math contest for March[/B]
The University of Guam Division of Mathematical Sciences has posted the March problems online at www.uog.edu/mathematics. Solutions are due by March 31, 2012 and must be submitted via email to uog_math@yahoo.com. Submissions must include the words “Math Contest” in the subject line of the email. In the body of the email please include your name, mailing address, school, and grade. This is the final month of the competition. Winners will be announced on Math Day in April. UOG College Nights March 19-22[/B]
The University of Guam hosts College Nights on March 19, 20, 21, and 22. All College Nights will be held in the UOG Student Center Food Court and will begin at 6:00 p.m. All graduating seniors and their parents are invited to attend any one of the College Nights. Information on how to apply for financial aid, steps to admission, placement tests, and academic programs will be presented.
