[B]Air Force training on Farallon de Medinilla[/B]

The U.S. Air Force will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla on March 5-9, from 7am to 5pm. The general public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators—are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated. The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants. (PR)

[B]Police chief Mafnas on Marianas Agupa![/B]

This Saturday, March 3, 2012, Marianas Agupa will feature Public Safety Commissioner Ray Mafnas to talk about the challenges and success of the CNMI police department and the investigation status on the case involving Emie Romero’s killing earlier this month between 10am and 10:30am. The show is from 9am to 11am on Magic 100.3FM.

The Chamorro radio talk show program is hosted by Glenn H. Manglona with reports by former mayor Joseph S. Inos, Thomas D. Mendiola, a special segment called Hafa Mohon with Juanita Mendiola, and David M. Cing. Simultaneous Internet streaming via www.magic100radio.com will be available. (PR)

[B]DEQ brigade cleanup at Hidden Beach today[/B]

The Division of Environmental Quality’s cleanup brigade will be picking up trash at Hidden Beach in Talafofu, Saipan today, March 3, 2012, starting at 8am. If you would like to volunteer, meet the DEQ representatives on Saturday at the Kingfisher Golf entrance. Volunteers will split into groups and clean until 10am and break for drinks and then continue, if needed. For more information about volunteering, contact the DEQ office at 664-8500/1. (DEQ)

[B]General farmers meeting [/B]

The Department of Lands and Natural Resources will be hosting a general farmers meeting for the election of new administrators for the Saipan and Northern Islands Soil and Water Conservation District. The term of office for the new administrators is from fiscal year 2012 to 2015. The meeting will be held at the Kagman Division of Agriculture station on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, from 10am to 11:30am. For more information, call 256-3319 and ask for Diana Gabaldon. (PR)

[B]KHS progress reports out next week[/B]

To all parents/guardians of Kagman High School: Progress reports will be issued next week Wednesday, March 7, 2012, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Teachers will distribute for all subjects. Please ask your child for their 1st – 4th period teachers’ and classroom numbers. This will lessen your time on where to go when you are getting their progress report.
