Eighth and 11th grade students from Mount Carmel School planted flowers and hedges Monday, Jan. 30, at the Guma Hustisia as part of their service to the community during Catholic Schools Week.

The plantings and beautification in front of the courthouse was in part a demonstration of the students’ appreciation of the instruction, guidance, and facilities provided by the Judiciary for the “Mock Trial” practices and competitions, in which many Mount Carmel students are intensely involved.

Candida Bahillo, advisor for the 8th grade, and Rosiky Camacho, adviser for the 11th grade, accompanied the students. James Babauta of the Forestry Division of the Department of Lands and Natural Resources coordinated the planting and donation of the plants, which consisted of Miniature Exora, Spider Plants, and Yellow Trumpets. (NMI Judiciary)
