Will New England get its vengeance after New York wrecked the Patriots’ perfect season four years ago and hand quarterback Tom Brady his fourth championship or will the Giants win again for Eli Manning’s second NFL title?

The Patriots and the Giants clash in today’s Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis and hundreds of thousands of football fans are expected to follow the highly anticipated rematch to find out which team will hoist the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy.

Saipan football fans are one of those who will be glued on TV today and some of them had already made their picks in Super Bowl XLVI.

“The Giants have a really good defense, but I think New England will be the last team standing in the end. Tom Brady has more experience than Eli Manning and let’s just say he has something to prove after the last time these two teams clashed.”

“I am a New York franchise fan and I go for the Yankees, so I am rooting for the Giants.”

“I’m rooting for the New York Giants! I believe in Eli Manning and I know that he will pull through and be the MVP again in the rematch. The G-Men are coming in as the underdogs and are also considered the smaller of the two teams. It will be a close game, but the Giants will get it done folks! To all the naysayers, Super Bowl 42 was not a fluke and they are going to prove it.”

“Being a San Francisco 49ers fan, it is a bittersweet feeling watching the big game this year, but I hope the New England gets revenge for me. Although I am critical of some of the Patriots’ dealing in the past, I still want to see the Giants lose. I think it’s going to be a tough matchup as both quarterbacks are proven. On one hand Eli Manning wants to up the ante with his brother Peyton and his team want to prove that the last meeting was not a fluke, while the Patriots want revenge and Tom Brady is playing to enter the upper epsilon of NFL post-season history.”

“I think the Giants will win because they knocked off a tough San Francisco 49ers team. Coincidentally, I think Tom Brady is in a bit of a slump so it wouldn’t surprise me if the Giants come away victorious.”
James Feger Rocball founder

“I think the Giants will win again mostly because of Rob Gronkowski’s ankle injury. He was a big part of the Patriots offense all year long and him being hurt will be a big factor in their demise.”

Rex Yabut MISO table official

“Both teams are equally strong and the Patriots have not forgotten what happened the last time they faced the Giants in a Super Bowl game. It was the Giants that ended their quest for a perfect season and may be seeking revenge, and will definitely motivate them to do better. However, I like the Giants by seven points. They have a relentless frontline defense that will push and push and rattle Tom Brady. If they can continually pressure Brady and create turnovers, they will capitalize and score some points. The game against the Packers is testimony to their solid defense. Hard to believe that they ended the season 9-7, but they did end up strong and have carried over in the playoffs. Now, they just need to play like they have been playing. To win, Eli Manning must play consistent, solid and MVP caliber like he has most of the season.”
Ed Salas NMIFA general secretary

“I’m going for the Giants, but in the end, I think Tom Brady and the Patriots will pull it out. Still, I am expecting a low scoring game, so give me New England over the G-Men, 17-14.”
