Aim Low swept Just-Do-It in the semifinals to notch the first finals berth in the 2011 Rocball Fall League.

Aim Low defeated Just-Do-It in Games 1 and 2 of the best-of-three semis series to advance to the championship round against the winner of the Teachers-Roc It semis pairing.

Game 1 was played last Monday at the Marianas High School Gymnasium with Aim Low juicing out Just-Do-It, 36-30. Just-Do-It dropped the series opener despite winning the first set, 10-12. Aim Low grabbed the lead, 23-22, after a 13-10 victory in the second set and went on to complete the win after prevailing anew in the third set, 13-8.

In Game 2 yesterday, Aim Low never gave Just-Do-It a chance to force a deciding Game 3, as the former won all three sets of the match. Aim Low took an eight-point winning margin in the first set, 13-5, and then padded its lead to 17 after the second set, following another victory, 12-3. In the third set, Just-Do-It tried to push the game in overtime, but fell short, as Aim Low won by two, 14-12, for another juiced-out triumph, 39-20.

Aim Low will play in Game 1 of the best-of-five title series on Monday.

The Teachers hope to join Aim Low in the finals when they go for a sweep against Roc It today. The Teachers topped Game 1 of the other semis series last Tuesday, 29-16. Roc It drew first blood in Game 1 with a 13-5 win in the opening set, but the Teachers recovered big time in the last two sets, 12-3, 12-0, to steal the series opener. Roc It aims to take Game 2 to force a deciding Game 3 that will be played tomorrow.

Roc It, the Teachers, Aim Low, and Just-Do-It made it to the Final Four after completing their second round games last week. Aim Low and the Teachers tied for first place with a 4-1 record, but the former gained the No. 1 spot due to the winner over the other rule. Aim Low also outscored the Teachers in the second round, 189-183. Roc It came in at third with a 3-2 record, while Just-Do-It clinched the last semis ticket with its 2-3 record. Give-a-Hoot and Alpha Q were eliminated.

After the second round, Aim Low collected the most heavy hitting points with 307 and goals (15). The Teachers earned 254 heavy hitting points, while Roc It, and Just-Do-It tallied 241 and 194, respectively.
