FMI seeks volunteers for LauLau Road cleanup

Members of the Friends of the Marianas under the leadership of its president, Marites Castillo, have started the cleanup and beautification of Lower LauLau Road as part of the environmental cleanup being funded by a Mobil grant.

The cleanup will continue today, Jan. 28, 2012, starting at 9am. The public is invited to participate by driving down LauLau Road. Water and light refreshment will be provided.

“FMI is cutting back vegetation to the cliff line running along the road so residents and visitors alike will be able to view the cliff line rather the dry season vegetation. We will need help, though, as we clear the vegetation and trash toward the Bay so everyone can have a clear view of the ocean. Please help us out this Saturday at 9am at lower Lau Lau road,” said Castillo.
This is the seventh year that Mobil has supported FMI’s beautification projects. (FMI)
