Kilili celebrates birthday with the man’amko
CNMI Delegate Gregorio Kilili Sablan celebrated his birthday yesterday with the congregates of the Aging Center.
Sablan, along with wife Andrea, shared his birthday cake with the man’amko who were delighted to see the congressman just before he heads back to Washington, D.C. this weekend.
Sablan said via email that the thought of celebrating his birthday with the island’s elderly came to him during the holidays.
“I chose our man’amko because I have been visiting our schools and youths throughout the holidays so I wanted to drop by and join our man’amko on my birthday,” Sablan told Saipan Tribune.
During yesterday’s visit, Sablan also delivered updates and answered questions about what he and his office is doing on issues such as Medicare and Social Security.
Sablan also made a “small” donation to the Saipan Seniors Advisory Council.
The delegate hopes to do another birthday celebration and visit with the man’amko “if my schedule permits.”
As for his birthday wish, Sablan replied, “I wish to be able to continue to work hard to improve the lives of our people and to improve the conditions of our islands.”
