GES student is overall winner in calendar contest
The CNMI Energy Division has named the winners of its 2012 Energy Poster Calendar winners.
The overall winner is Jeanica Bonachita, a 5th grader at Garapan Elementary School. Her winning poster will be featured for the month of October in observance of Energy Awareness Month.
The other 12 outstanding winners are: Ezekiel R. Alfred, 6th grade, Green Meadow School; Peggy Aizell Pixley, 6th grade, Grace Christian Academy; Kyana A. Rivera, 4th grade, Golden Harvest School; Keilani Barcinas, 6th grade, Sinapalo Elementary School; Querida Maratita, 6th grade, Sinapalo Elementary School; Kristen Joy N. Razon, 6th grade, Garapan Elementary School; Asie Atalig, 6th grade, Sinapalo Elementary School; Heong Chang Im, 6th grade, Grace Christian Academy; Shella Flores Kliu Sibetang, 4th grade, Garapan Elementary School; Matthew J. Corpuz, 3rd grade, San Vicente Elementary School; Mary Heather Jingco, 6th grade, Sinapalo Elementary School; and Inah Blas Camacho, 6th grade, Grace Christian Academy.
Each winning student will be presented with an Energy Savings Kit and a gift certificate redeemable at National Office Supply.
The calendar contest was open to all students in the CNMI from 1st through 6th grade with the theme relating to Energy Awareness: “Turn Words into Action, Action into Result.” A total of 204 students participated for the contest.
The 2012 Energy Calendar will be available for distribution at the end of this month. Anyone interested in obtaining a calendar may contact the Energy Division at 664-4480/2 or visit the office located in Capitol Hill, Building NO.1337.
