More online courses during NMC’s spring 2012 semester

To heighten convenience and flexibility for its students, the Northern Marianas College is offering several online credit courses during the upcoming spring 2012 semester. All students, especially those who reside on Rota and Tinian, are highly encouraged to register for these online classes, which include:
– Small Business Management (Business)
– English Composition (College English)
– Child Development (Education)
– Multicultural Foundations (Education)
– Teaching Methods in Special Education (Education) – Blended Online
– Assessment and Evaluation (Education)
– Educational Technology (Education) – Blended Online
– Disability and Society (Education)
– Intro. To Human Services (Education)
– Writing & Grammar Study III (English Language Institute)
– Personal Health (Health)
– Nutrition and Health (Health)
Online courses offer several advantages: First, students work on assignments at their own convenience, and may even continue a full time job while taking one or a few courses at a time. Second, students have more control of the learning process because they learn at their own pace. Third, the online courses are interactive, which means that students receive feedback from their instructors and even their peers.
Registration for the college’s spring 2012 semester begins on Jan. 10, 2012. For more information about the registration process or to apply for admissions, visit www.nmcnet.edu. Financial aid is also still available for those who qualify.
