All set for Enticer Series 1
The series of Enticer Races will start this Saturday at Paupau Beach.
The swim course will cover the Paupau Rock to the concrete boat dock and back, while there will be two courses for the bike and run legs. The on-road bike course will be from Paupau to Banzai and back and the run leg will be up to FEBC sign and back to the starting line. For the off-road course, bikers will leave Paupau and then head right to Marianas Country Club up to the one million gallon tank, turn left to FEBC road, left to middle road, and then another left turn back to the starting line. For the run leg, triathletes must turn right up to the one million gallon tank and return to Paupau.
Registration will begin at 6am, while the race will start at 7pm.
The series of Enticer races will be held to prepare triathletes for the 2012 XTERRA Saipan Championship and Tagaman Triatlon, which will be held on March 24 and 31, respectively.
There will be three pre-XTERRA/Tagaman race with the Enticer Series 2 set for Feb. 4 and Series 3 scheduled for March 10. Venues and times for the last two races will be announced later.
Entrance fee in each series is only $5 and proceeds will all go to the funds that will be used to help organize the two biggest triathlon competitions in the CNMI. Enticer Series organizers will also give away free entries to XTERRA Sport or Tagaman as raffle prizes after each race.
Besides the three Enticer events, a couple of run, bike, and swim races are scheduled starting this month until late March to prepare participants of XTERRA Saipan and Tagaman. After the Enticer Series 1, four more events are lined up this month: the XTERRA Trail Run 9Jan. 14), Tagaman Swim (Jan. 21), SDA Bike Race (Jan. 22), and Marianas Coffee Trail Run (Jan. 28).
