Goals in abundance at futsal youth league

Winning teams in the last three play dates of the 2011 Saipan Soccer School Youth Futsal League had goals galore at the TSL Sports Complex.

In the latest games played last Tuesday night, Konflikt recorded nine goals to beat We-D-Fly, which was held to only two goals, in the boys U15 division, while Astig Futsal clobbered Go Green Team, 15-3, in the girls U17 age group.

Dakota Hall had a hat-trick in Konflikt’s lopsided win, while Enrico Del Rosario made a pair. Jehn Joyner, Kennedy Izuka, Jake Lee, and Hunter Jewell contributed one each. Brian Lee scored all the two goals of We-D-Fly.

In the girls U17 match, Kyla Ito had majority of Astig Futsal’s goals, draining six, while Melody Johnson, and Alexa Vergara chipped in three apiece. Also making it to the scoreboard for Astig Futsal were Maica Aniana, Marielle Gariguez, and Mikky Vargas.

Chevy Kate Alipio and Maria Castro tallied one goal each for Go Green Team, which played with only four players.
[B] THURSDAY’S GAMES

Astig Futsal 9, Ayuyu 1[/B]

Astig Futsal was also victorious in its game last week, whipping the Ayuyu.

Gariguez jump-started the one-sided game, nailing four goals, while Jeraldine Castillo added two. Johnson, Ito, Dianne Pablo, and Vergara scored one goal each. The Ayuyu’s lone goal in the match came from Clea San Nicolas in the first half.

[B]IT&E 6, Mean Machine 1[/B]

In the boys U18 division, IT&E topped Mean Machine.

Jin Han Yoon and Joyner teamed up in the easy victory, firing two goals apiece, while Evert Van Der Maas and Chris Park posted one goal each.

Mean Machine avoided a shutout when Jun Maliti scored in the second half.
[B] FRIDAY’S GAMES

Astig Futsal 8, We-D-Fly 2[/B]

Astig Futsal’s boys U15 squad also recorded an easy win last week after downing We-D-Fly.

Three Astig Futsal players scored multiple goals with Jeff Palacios, William Hinson II, and Jireh Yobech drilling two each, Marc Gerald Mora and Tanapon Unsa gained one goal apiece to complete Astig Futsal’s domination of We-D-Fly.

Scottt Kim and Brian Lee scored for We-D-Fly, who has yet to win in the league.

[B]Konflikt 20, Shirley’s Boys 1[/B]

In the other boys U15 match last Friday, Konflikt routed Shirley’s Boys.

Joyner sizzled for six goals for Konflikt and his eight other teammates also lit up the scoreboard. Jewell chipped in four goals, Izuka, John Taisacan, Hall, and Kenneth Domingo had two each, and Del Rosario and Jake Lee made one apiece.

Shirley’s Boys’ only goal in the game was courtesy of Rodwealth Espana.

[B]Thundercats 10, Mean Machine 0[/B]

In the lone boys U18 match, the Thundercats shut out Mean Machine.

Brian Lee led the Thundercats with his four goals, while Zhi Peng Lin scored three. Daniel Agulto had a pair, while goalie Don Cabrera played offense in the second half and added one goal.

Meanwhile, Mean Machine will try to break into the win column when it faces the undefeated IT&E tonight at 7:30pm. In the first game at 6:30pm, Astig Futsal and We-D-Fly collide in the boys U15 match.
