SDA hosts MTB/road race on Jan. 22

The race will start and end at Paupau Beach and registration and go time will be announced later. Entrance fee is only $10.
For the road bike category, the course will be the “five corners” with bikers heading up to the Radar tower, Suicide Cliff lookout, Bird Island, Grotto, and Banzai, before returning to Paupau. In the MTB division, riders will go to FEBC, Kimikaze and Autobahn trails, Santa Clause Lane, and Banzai before heading back to the starting/finish line.
The Top 5 finishers in each division will receive medals and additional prizes, while two brand new mountain bikes will be raffled off after the race. Raffle tickets for the Giant 2011 model and Solar 2000 bike can be purchased at Bike Pro, Taro Sue, and Ride NMI.
