Bad message

The recent article regarding only six House of Representative members submitting to a drug test sends a very bad image on the lower house of the CNMI Legislature.

If the members of this chamber have nothing to hide then why are they not getting a drug test.

Certainty, the system is not fair because all government employees or prospective employees must go through a drug test, why in the world doesn’t this requirement apply to these elected officials.

If they were really honest and have nothing to hide then they should pass a law requiring all elected officials to pass a drug test before they are sworn into office or receive a penny of their salary.

The CNMI Legislature is a joke and they are sending a bad message to the children of this community. To the children of the CNMI, go ahead and use illegal drugs because as long as you are a senator or congressman/congresswoman you don’t need to take a drug test.
