AG’s Sakude upset top-ranked Team CUC, 8-5, in a home draw at Jonny’s Bar & Grill to advance to the Saipan Dart Association’s Inter-Government Bud Cup semifinals last Friday.

CUC was easily the heavy favorite coming into the post-season tournament, finishing the regular season in first place by a whopping 22 games.

AG’s Sakude will face DYS Atdit in the semifinals, who defeated the Troubleshooters, 8-6, in a road match at Wild Bill’s Bar & Grill.

The other side of the bracket includes NMC Proa playing host to DPS Enforcers at Jonny’s. Both NMC and DPS were given first round byes at the start of the tournament.

The winner of tonight’s matches will face off for the coveted Budweiser Cup on Dec. 16.

Meanwhile, the final tables are set for SEDA’s Ladies and Master divisions.

Ladies League’s No. 1 contender Try Luck of D’Pirates Bar is in prime position to sweep the field.

Try Luck bested Jonny’s Island Girls, 8-5, on the road on Wednesday and now has to go through sister team Star Magic in next week’s finals.

After receiving a first round bye, fifth-ranked Star Magic downed bottom-feeder Daffodils, 8-4, on the road at Joe’s Steakhouse for its championship berth.

In the Master division, Es’y Kitchen’s IT&E Kamote’s made it past the M-Destroyers, 9-4, at D’Pirates in its semifinal pairing and will square off against the fifth-ranked Snipers, who ousted Jonny’s Azkals, 8-4, in a road game last Wednesday.

Frontrunner IT&E Kamote’s is also heavily favored to sweep the field, but all bets are off in Master division play.
