Chalan Kanoa robbery
Crime Stoppers is seeking the community’s assistance for information on a robbery incident that occurred outside a residence in Chalan Kanoa.
On Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, around 4am, the victim, a 45-year-old Chinese female, parked her car—a 1997 green Hyundai Accent two-door sedan—outside her residence located east of the Chalan Kanoa cemetery. The victim was sitting in her car when the suspect, described as a male dressed in black pants, long-sleeved shirt with a hood, approached her car.
The suspect attempted to open the driver’s door, which was locked. The suspect rushed to the passenger side and opened the door. The suspect sprayed the victim with mace and escaped with the victim’s purse, running toward Glory Market.
The items stolen include a black Guess purse, $200 in cash, a $2 bill, CNMI driver’s license, CNMI Treasury child tax and stimulus checks, and a Sky brand cell phone.
