Tadokoro lifts Matansa in win over MP United

Manami Tadokoro scored four goals to power MP United to a 6-2 triumph over MP United 1 in the non-competitive division of the 2011 NMIFA Women’s Futsal Fall League last Monday at the Saipan Soccer School pitch.

Tadokoro made two of her goals in the first half, which ended with Matansa ahead, 2-1. MP United 1 drew its lone goal in the first half from Lydia Tan, who lit up the scoreboard in the eighth minute. Tadokoro nailed her first goal under the one-minute mark of the first half and added one more in the 18th minute.

The Matansa striker was still at it in the second half with her goals in the third and 11th minute. Becky Robles recorded Matansa’s first goal in the second half, while Lucita Pasana also scored in the final frame. MP United had another sluggish offense in the second half with only Mae Demapan scoring.

[B]Shirley’s FC 2, Paire 1[/B]

In the first non-competitive match of the night, Shirley’s FC edged Paire.

Charlene Lizardo and Maica Aniana logged one goal apiece for Shirley’s, while only Temary Gramlich scored for Paire.

Lizardo found the back of the net at the halfway mark of the 30-minute first half, while Aniana added one in the 19th minute. Paire scored its lone goal midway in the second half.

[B]Tan Holdings 4, MHS 0[/B]

In the last game, Tan Holdings shut out MHS.

Lina Manalili and Krizelle Alforeza drilled two goals each in Tan Holdings’ easy win.

Manalili avoided a scoreless first-half when she hit her first goal in the 18th minute. He picked up where she left off in the second half, making another goal in the first minute. One minute later, it was Alforeza’s turn to score and the latter drained her second one in the 10th minute.
[B] FRIDAY

MP United 2 2, Tan Holdings 1[/B]

MP United 2 snapped Tan Holdings’ winning run in the non-competitive division last Friday with a 2-1 victory.

Laarni Pagarao scored both goals for MP United 2, recording one apiece in the first and second half, while Shane Golingo made one for Tan Holdings.

[B]MHS 4, Independents 2[/B]

In the other non-competitive match last weekend, MHS shut out Independents in the second half to pull off a win.

Meena Deleon Guerrero got things going early for MHS with her goal with only 40 seconds gone by in the first half. Independents’ Yenthaisong Lamyuan hit an equalizer in the first minute, but MHS quickly regained the lead off Jaime Borja’s goal one minute later.

Allene Evallar then canned back-to-back goals in the first half to give her team enough cushion.
[B] Shirley’s 8, Paire 0[/B]

In the lone competitive game last Friday, Shirley’s pounded Paire.

Jeraldine Castillo scored four goals for Shirley’s Marilou Gariguez added two, and Marielle Gariguez and Alexa Vergara chipped in one apiece.

Shirley’s posted six of its total goals in the first half to seize control of the match.
