Gaiana-B, Echoserong Kamote’s take 1st place in B Leagues
Bar Gaia’s Gaiana-B and Echoserong Kamote’s finished their respective Saipan Electronic Dart Association’s B-Flame Tree and B-Fanihi seasons in first place after the conclusion of last Thursday’s final regular season games.
B-Flame Tree’s Gaiana-B clinched first place with a clutch 13-2 road victory over Chagi Sang (108-102) at D’Pirates Bar to finish its season with a win-loss record of 131-79.
Gaiana-B grabbed first place by just a game as second-ranked D’Pirates’ Sabalu (130-80) came up a little short, despite a 12-3 romping of Why Not (55-155) at Jonny’s Bar & Grill.
In other results, One Shot (112-98) finished in third place, defeating sister team Skorgazzzums (85-125), 11-4, in a home draw at Joe’s Steakhouse; and D’Pirates’ Lucky Dart (106-104) pulled off an 8-7 road upset over Na’Gupu (106-104) at Naked Fish Bar & Grill.
In Thursday’s B-Fanihi finale, Echoserong absorbed a 6-9 road upset to sister team SOS Akiramenai (127-83) at Es’y Kitchen, but still finished in first place in the standings with a 130-80 slate.
SOS finished strong in second place ahead of Gaia’s World-B (124-86), which downed Jonny’s Sekid (76-134), 10-5, at home.
Meanwhile, No Fear (97-113) defeated Oh Yeah! (72-138), 8-7, in a road draw at Joe’s, while VFW Post 3457’s Dutty Gunz (119-91) were awarded an easy 8-0 win via a forfeit against Es’y’s Kitchen Shooters (88-122).
Both B-Division fields will take a week off before the first round of the Bud Light Cup post-season tournament begins on Dec. 1.
In other news, Team CUC topped second-ranked AG’s Sakude (130-80), 11-4, in an away draw at Jonny’s last Friday to continue its reign atop the SEDA Inter-Government Legaue.
CUC improved to a 152-58 slate and stretched its lead to 22 games.
In addition, DYS Atdit (114-96) defeated DPW Troubleshooters (86-124), 10-5, on the road at Wild Bill’s Bar & Grill, while DPS Enforcers (75-135) snuck past NMC Proa (58-152), 8-7, in a home draw at Jonny’s.
On Monday, A-division’s Mixed Bloodshooters 1 bested Wild Bill’s Troubleshooters, 12-5, at home to improve to 158-97.
Mixed Blood holds a five-game lead in the standings ahead of Celebrity (153-102) with D’Pirates’ Bud Brothers (147-108) in third place.
Fortunately for the front-runners, both Celebrity and Bud Brothers dropped identical 8-9 home upsets to Proofers (115-140) and Ali’I Kamote’s (134-121) of Naked Fish, respectively.
In other results, Naked Fish’s Naked Fish Boys (129-126) edged D’Pirates’ Predators (127-128), 9-8, at home and the Primos (111-144) defeated Gaia’s Gaiana-A (94-161), 10-7, in a home draw at VFW.
Also on Monday, Try Luck continued its sheer dominance in the Ladies League, skunking Joe’s Daffodils (59-166), 15-0, at home.
Try Luck boasts a 49-game chokehold on the division with an impressive 189-36 record.
Runner-up Man Amigas (140-85) defeated third-ranked Joe’s Just Like That (108-117), 10-5, on the road, while Jonny’s Island Girls (103-122) bested D’Pirates Star Magic (76-149), 9-6 at home.
