Japan Rotarians visit Saipan

Four members of the Rotary Club of Narashino-Chuo from Japan, including one Rotary Ann, are on island to enjoy Saipan’s golfing terrain.

The visiting Rotarians attended the general membership meeting of the Rotary Club of Saipan at the Hyatt Regency on Tuesday.

Saipan Rotarian Ken Kato served as interpreter for the visiting group, which arrived on Sunday.

The visiting group was led by past president Naohiro Nakano, who has previously visited Saipan. The rest of the group are on island for the first time.

Kato said the Rotary Club of Narashino-Chuo, located “between the Narita Airport and Tokyo” and is nearby Tokyo Disneyland, was founded in 1976 and has 46 members, six of whom are females.

Takeda-san, Club Services director for the Rotary Club of Narashino-Chuo, presented during the meeting their flag to Rotary Club of Saipan president Pete Igitol.
