NMIVA clinic moved to Hyatt
The Northern Mariana Islands Volleyball Association has moved this Saturday’s free beach volleyball clinic to the Hyatt Regency Saipan sand courts from 8am to 10am.
The temporary adjustment was made to give way to the American Red Cross Annual Club 200 fundraiser scheduled at the Fiesta Resort & Spa on the same day.
After this Saturday, the clinics will return to the Fiesta Resort & Spa sand courts and are scheduled to run through Dec. 18; weather permitting.
All interested players are encouraged to participate, as the clinics are open to the general public. CNMI national team coach Russ Quinn and veteran player Tyce Mister will conduct the clinics. The clinics are open to players ages 10 and above, however, adult supervision is preferred for players under 14.
Learning points include an overview of the basic fundamentals, game strategy, and conditioning.
Participants will also get a chance to see members of the CNMI National Team train, showcasing their skills to help out with the clinics. NMIVA said clinics are a great work out and give families a chance to spend Saturday morning in the sand.
Players must provide their own clothes, water or sports drinks and transportation.
