Big prizes at stake in talent search
Talented members of the community still have a chance to join Bridge Capital LLC’s local talent search that will showcase the winners during the company’s Christmas party in December.
CNMI Got Talent is a Christmas-themed contest that is part of the efforts of Bridge Capital to encourage islanders to demonstrate their creativity and skills.
“We decided to launch this talent show because our management believes in the artistry of the local community,” said Rowena Relado, coordinator for the talent search. “We would like to see those talents in our competition.”
Relado said that CNMI Got Talent is open to all individuals or groups regardless of ethnicity or age who can sing, dance, act, play any instrument, or demonstrate any kind of talent that they have. There will be no limit to the number of entries they receive for any of the categories.
Audition pieces must be submitted in DVD format at the Bridge Capital office in Garapan by Oct. 22.
“Our management will decide which among the entries will make it to the finals and we hope to get as much as 10 finalists per category,” said Relado.
Relado said the names of the finalists will be released around the second week of November to give ample time for the finalists to practice their final performances, which will coincide with Bridge Capital’s Christmas party on Dec. 10.
Great cash prizes are at stake for the winners of the talent show: $100 for the third runner-up, $200 for the second runner-up, $500 for the first runner-up, and a grand prize of $1,000.
