The Saipan Seventh-Day Adventist Church will be holding a free seminar that would give people of different faiths the opportunity to know the Bible.

“All the Islands of the Sea” will be held from Oct. 15 to Nov. 5 at 7am to 8:30pm at three different locations: in Chinatown across from Luka Ben Ent., SDA school in San Antonio, and in Kagman at the SDA church and clinic.

Pastor Carlos Sotomayor will serve as the speaker in Chinatown, SDA clinic director Dr. Kenneth Pierson and Hardt Eye Clinic’s Eric Mahinay in San Antonio, and Lily Inos and Vicky Kosam in Kagman.

Sotomayor said “All the Islands of the Sea” will feature 17 different presentations on topics that include knowing the future, secrets of ancient scrolls, what happens when you die, why are there so many denominations, why is there so much suffering, signs you can’t ignore, and making a new start.

Sotomayor said they conduct the seminar once or twice a year, with the last one held in April.

“It’s really exciting because people have a beautiful picture of what the Bible actually has to say. Many are suffering and they don’t know exactly what to believe. …The Bible has the answer,” he told Saipan Tribune.

After the free seminar on Saipan, Sotomayor said he will go to Tinian and Kagman leader Michael Martin will go to Rota to do the same presentations.

During the presentation on Sunday, Oct. 15, Sotomayor said they will also conduct a free health fair and screening at the SDA church and clinic in Kagman.

“We’re also going to be having short health lectures every night, 10 to 15 minutes, just to educate people concerning their health because we believe that God also wants us to be healthy,” said Sotomayor.
