Wild Bill’s Bar & Grill’s Shark Attack is now tied with D’Pirates Bar & Grill’s Pirata for the lead in the Obyan Division after the conclusion of Tuesday’s Saipan Billiards Association’s 2011 Budweiser Summer/Fall Open 8-Ball League matchups.

IT&E Voyagers, meanwhile, remain in the driver’s seat atop the Agingan Division.

Pirata absorbed a 3-4 upset at home to Jonny’s Team SCS (19-23) and now has to share the pole position with Shark Attack, which bested Crazy 8 (18-22), 5-2, on the road at Jonny’s.

Both teams now share identical win-loss cards of 25-17.

Notably, 19th Hole Bar & Grill’s Poksu romped sister team Titans (16-22), 6-1, in a road draw to pull within two games of the frontrunners.

On Tuesday, Crazy 8 hosts Team SCS, the Titans welcome Pirata, and Shark Attack calls over Poksu.

In the Agingan Division, IT&E Voyagers defeated third-ranked IT&E Incredibles (23-19), 5-2, on the road at Sand’s Bar last Tuesday to improve its record to 33-9.

Second place Docomo Hustlers kept pace with their rivals, downing VFW Post 3457’s X-Tream (16-26), 5-2, at home in Utopia Sports Bar, but remain nine games back.

Meanwhile, Jonny’s Bar & Grill’s Home Boyz Five (22-20) dominated Joe’s Steakhouse’s Fotten Palau (8-34), 6-1, in a home match.

On Tuesday, Home Boyz Five hosts IT&E Voyagers; X-Tream calls over the IT&E Incredibles; and Fotten Palau welcomes the Docomo Hustlers.
