RGA October Ace at COP

The Refaluwasch Golf Association will be holding its October Ace of the Month tournament this Saturday at Coral Ocean Point.
Check-in time is at 11am, while tee off is at 12nn. The score to beat is 80, which Tars Olopai recorded during the October Ace qualifying tournament early this month also at COP. Three other RGA members scored better than 80 in the October qualifier, but since all of them had already won the Ace of the Month plum, Olopai moved closer to claiming the October title. If no golfer shoots better than 80 at COP this weekend, Olopai gets to keep the October Ace and qualifies for the club championship.
The RGA Club Championship is likely to take place early December this year and the association is reminding monthly Ace winners to compete in at least six RGA-sanctioned events to qualify for the season-ending tournament. If Ace winners fail to meet the required number of tournaments, the monthly runners-up will take their spots.
Meanwhile, RGA will also host a two-man scramble format tournament on Oct. 23 with the venue yet to be determined. Then next month, the club will have the Turkey Shootout. Other details of the two tournaments will be announced later.
