[B]Notice to parents of SSHS students[/B]
To all parents and legal guardians of Saipan Southern High School students, mid-term 1 progress is scheduled to be picked up on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. Teachers will be available in their classrooms for parents and legal guardian visit. All students will be released at 1:05pm. (PR)
[B]Air Force, Navy training on FDM, Warning Area-517[/B]SANTA RITA, Guam—The U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla on the following dates and times:
Oct. 5 and 7, from 1pm to 11:59pm
Oct. 8, from 7am to 2pm
The Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on Oct. 4-5, from 8:30amm to 4:30pm.
The public, especially fisherman, commercial pilots and marine tour operators, are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.
The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.
W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising of 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. This will affect fishing in the vicinity of Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank. (USN)
