The Rose Dance School successfully marked its second year anniversary with 70 current and former students as well as regular customers taking part in the celebration at the dance studio on Saturday.

Dance instructor Eden Quizon said that several dance performances such as rumba, chacha, and salsa by himself, instructor Resty Joson, and school owners Rose Chan and Carol Wong Chan entertained guests at the party.

Quizon said they also had a trivia game that drew the participation of guests because of exciting prizes that included gift certificates from KFC, Canton Restaurant, and Venus Beauty Salon.

“We’re very happy about the successful anniversary celebration,” Quizon told Saipan Tribune. “We hope that more individuals will sign up for our lessons at Rose Dance School.”

Rose Dance School promotes dancing as a fun and healthy activity as it helps burn calories, increase energy levels and flexibility, sharpen coordination and reaction time, improve posture, attitude and mental health, as well as reduce stress levels.

Aerobics classes are held at the 4-H Club in Susupe Monday to Friday, from 7pm to 8:30pm, for only $1 per visit. Aerobics classes are also available at the Carolinian Utt in Garapan from Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 7:30pm.

Ballroom and Latin Dance classes, meanwhile, are available for special groups and are held Monday to Saturday from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Individual lessons are also available by appointment and cost $50 per four sessions.

Friday nights are ballroom nights at Rose Dance School. An entrance fee of $5, inclusive of one drink, is charged from 9pm to 12:30am. Ballroom classes are also available on Saturdays from 6pm to 8pm.
