Consular team to head to Tinian, Rota
The Philippine Consulate General will conduct mobile services for Filipinos on Rota next month, two weeks after they carry out the same services on Tinian.
Consul General Medardo Macaraig said Wednesday that the Philippine Consulate General will hold the mobile consular services on Oct. 1 and 2, Saturday and Sunday, at the Rota campus of the Northern Marianas College.
The Tinian consular services, meanwhile, will be conducted on Sept. 16 and 17, Friday and Saturday, at the Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino.
Macaraig will lead the team, composed of consular officers and staff and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office.
“The Philippine Consulate General expresses its appreciation to the untiring support of the Filipino community in Rota led by Mr. Ali Badiles,” he said.
The requirements for those who wish to apply or renew their ePassports remain the same, except for a photograph, which is no longer required.
Information about requirements for passport and other consular documents may be found at the consulate’s website, www.philippinessaipan.org.
To facilitate the process and allow the consulate to serve more Filipinos, Macaraig asks passport applicants to download the application form from the website and send the accomplished form via fax to 234-1849, email to saipanpcg@pticom.com, or postal mail to P.O. Box 500731 Saipan, 96950 CNMI.
