Shirley’s caging meeting Monday

The 3rd Annual Shirley’s Coffee Shop Invitational Basketball League will hold another organizational meeting on Monday, Sept. 5, 6:30pm at the Shirley’s Coffee Shop in Garapan.
League coordinator Boy Lingcaso said all participating teams must send a representative to the meeting. The last day to turn in team rosters will also be during the meeting.
Lingcaso said so far 14 teams have already confirmed their participation in the caging. The list includes inaugural champion Micronesian Brokers, Inc., Mobil, PSS/McGraw-Hill, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Hanwa/World Resort, Fiesta Resort & Spa, Pacific Trading, Wushin, Fresco, Grillin’, DFS, GPPC, Marianas Health Services, and host Shirley’s.
Each team is allowed to recruit only five players outside their companies.
Organizers are planning to hold games in the Shirley’s caging every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Meetings and other details about the league will be announced later.
Last year, 10 teams joined the second edition of the Shirley’s caging with Pacific Islands Club winning over Aqua Resort Club in the best-of-three title series. In 2009, MBI swept Advance in the best-of-three finals,
