Two-way tie in B-Flame Tree division

Naked Fish Bar & Grill’s Team Na’Gupu and Gaia Bar’s Gaiana-B share the lead in the eight-team Thursday B-Flame Tree division after the conclusion of last week’s season opener.

In other groupings, Oleai Beach Bar & Grill’s Celebrity, D’Pirates Bar & Grill’s Try Luck, D’Pirates’ Jokers, Jonny’s Bar & Grill’s Team CUC and Oleai’s No Fear head their respective A, Ladies, Master, Inter-Government, and Thursday B-Fanihi divisions.

On Monday, Celebrity improved its win-loss card to 26-8 and maintained a four-game lead atop the 10-team A-division following a 13-4 romp of sister-team Primos (11-23) in a road match.

Mixed Blood Shooters 1 (22-12) is currently in second place after taking down Gaiana-A (10-24), 13-4, on the road at Gaia Bar. D’Pirates’ Predators (21-13) and Bud Brothers (20-14) are close behind the front-runners, two weeks into the season.

Predators defeated Oleai Proofers (18-16), 10-7, in a home game, while Bud Brothers knocked off Wild Bill’s Bar & Grill’s Troubleshooters (14-20), 12-5, at home. In addition, Naked Fish’s Naked Fish Boys (16-18) overcame sister-team Ali’i Kamote’s (12-22), 11-6, in a road game.

Also on Monday, Try Luck skunked sister-team Star Magic, 15-0, in a road match and remain in first place among the six-team Ladies field with an overall record of 28-2. Meanwhile, Oleai’s Man-Amigas trail by just three games after trampling Joe’s Steakhouse’s Daffodils (3-27), 14-1, at home. Just Like That (21-9) edged Jonny’s Island Girls (9-21), 8-7, in a home match at Joe’s.

The A and Ladies divisions have completed two weeks of matchups thus far, while the remaining groups opened their seasons this past week.

As of last Wednesday, the Jokers sit in first place among the six-team Master division after downing the Oleai Snipers, 13-4, while Oleai’s Companeros are ranked second with a, 11-6, victory over Jonny’s Azkals and Es’y’s SOS Jokers are seated third after besting sister-team IT&E Kamote’s, 10-7.

Last Friday, CUC dominated sister-team DPS Enforcers, 12-3, and are positioned a game ahead of Oleai-duo AG’s Sakude! and DYS Atdit. Both crews share identical records of 11 wins and four losses.

DPW Troubleshooters (4-11), Jonny’s NMC Proa (4-11) and the Enforcers (3-12) round out the bottom half of the division; matchup details were not released.

Last Thursday, No Fear booted Es’y’s Kitchen Shooters, 13-2, and lead Naked Fish’s Echoserong Kamote by a game among the eight-team B-Fanihi division as the latter bested Jonny’s Sekid, 12-3. Meanwhile, Gaia’s World B defeated VFW’s Dutty Gunz, 10-5, and Es’y’s SOS Akiramenai topped Oleai’s Oh Yeah!, 9-6; matchup details were not provided.

As for the rest of the B-Flame Tree division, D’Pirates-duo Chagi Sang and Sabalu are tied for second place with like records of nine wins and six losses with Joe’s-duo TBA Oneshot and Scoregazzzums are knotted in third place with identical 6-9 records. D’Pirates’ Lucky Dart and Oleai’s Why Not rest at the bottom with identical slates of 5-10.
