I would like to thank the NMASA for honoring me and the U15 National Team as the ATHLETe of the MOnth awardee for July 20, 2011. While participating in the EAFF soccer tournament in Taipei, Taiwan last month, we, the U15 National Team, practiced hard and got really much closer together as a unified team. Although my name is the only one on the award, we know that the accomplishment that is being recognized is the result of team effort.
Also, thank you very much Mr. Jerry Tan, NMIFA officials, coaches, NMI Men’s player, U18 players, Masa, coach Katie and her team, coach Kambe and JEF United Chiba U13 team and staff, Yokohama FC U13 team and staff, Tama University Meguro Junior High U15 and team and staff, and CNMI friends and family for all of your support.
We are very grateful for the very special Athlete of the Month award. Of course, we need to learn more skills and we need to practice more plays. The Taipei experience motivated and encouraged us for success. And we did it—we won for the CNMI!
