NMC Fall 2011 registration begins today

Registration for the Northern Marianas College’s Fall 2011 semester will be begin today, Aug. 15, and run through Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011.

Ongoing students can register on the day designated for their PowerCampus ID number as indicated below. Students who were eligible to register on Friday, August 12, 2011, will instead be allowed to register on Monday. New and readmitted students can begin registering for classes on Friday, August 19, 2011. 

The college offers several degree and certificate programs, including a bachelor of science degree in education (emphasis on elementary education, early childhood education, special education, or rehabilitation and human services), associate degrees in business, business administration (emphasis on accounting, business management, or computer applications), liberal arts, nursing, natural resources management, criminal justice, and hospitality management. Moreover, it offers short-term certificate programs in different vocational, academic, and professional areas. 

New students are required to take the English and Math placement tests before they register. After taking the placement tests, students can obtain the required slip from the English and Math departments and meet with their academic advisors. NMC academic advisors will help new students fill in registration forms and create class schedules. Students can then finish the registration process in NMC’s Room D-1.

Application for admissions will still be accepted until the last day of Registration on Saturday, August 20, 2011, provided that both placement tests have been taken. Students may register between 9am and 6pm, Monday through Friday, and between 9am and 12pm on Saturday. Also, note that School of Education seniors and those slated to graduate in May 2012 can register on Monday. Note the following dates below:

Ongoing students must clear any outstanding balances at the Finance Office, the NMC Library and/or Office of Admissions and Records before they can register for classes.
